  • USA “THE SUPER POWER” PART 1

Posted on May 10th, 2002 admin 6 comments

In November 2000 we learned a lot about the World’s Super Power, The United States of America. The first thing was that in the State of Florida the law prescribes a mandatory 3-days-waiting period to purchase a handgun. The second lesson was that the (waiting) period for electing a President took considerable more time. Conclusion, now we know which activity the Americans consider more dangerous.

Had the Florida Supreme Court been smarter and accepted a more fair play, the USA would have been able to present the result of the election with a straight face. Now, as we all recall, it turned into a farce, the test of the democracy in the States failed completely leaving the world wonder, why the Americans claim that they have the best in the world.

When we wrote Chapter One some time ago it was mentioned that our new Prime Minister THAKSIN was facing a case at the Constitutional Court about his “forgetting” some few billion Baht when declaring his assets, whilst he started to run for the office as Prime Minister (PM), an offense, which could cost him his position as PM should the court find him guilty as charged.

After the final verdict of the Supreme Court in the U.S. of A. the whole world was told by Mr. Bush Senior, that his son had won the election. What a lie. He was “voted” into his new office as a result of a corrupt Supreme Court, whose members voted against the own statements made just a few months prior to this so called election. So Mr. Bush did not win, the people wanted Mr. Al Gore, but learned that partly the electoral system and partly the judges can overrule democracy. The USA is now left with a very split country, divided into two parts with a very narrow majority to the republicans.
